Now that the finale has come and gone, it's safe to say there are 2 separate planets called Earth; the planet eventually settled on by the 13th Tribe (which depopulated some 2,000 years ago, nBSG time) and the planet eventually settled on by the remnants of the 12 Colonies (which is still inhabited some 150,000 years later, nBSG time). It's a bit like Paris, France and Paris, Idaho: Same name, different planets. Those of you who remember playing "Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters" may recall the Supox, who ALSO named their planet "Earth" because the word literally means "dirt" or more specifically "cultivable soil" which, for a sentient star-faring plant species, is rather critical for their development. ;-)

Well.. The Gravitational stresses are pretty extreme.

A quantum singularity isn't a Worm hole.. It's a black hole... So.. technically there is almost no chance of survival, due to the high amount of stress, as well as the fact that the Tidal Forces would probably tear the ship apart... Only if there was a white hole on the other end of the black hole. You would also have to time it quite perfectly.

ALSO, theoretically if they engaged the FTL.. It's possibly that the FTL drive could actually use the singularity to over-fold space / time again.. Possibly causing them to jump time and space rather than just space.
