| Boomer and the Chief were Galactica's first onboard romance, shown early in the series premiere. Sharon and Galen didn't manage to keep their dalliance much of a secret, and when it became a clear distraction, Colonel Tigh flatly ordered Boomer to end it. When Boomer started to lose it during her "activation" phase, the Chief helped her cover her tracks... a mistake he would repeat years later when Boomer reappeared on Galactica. Tyrol's relationship with Boomer also put an awkward spin on the arrival of the other Sharon (later known as Sharon Agathon or "Athena"), who had impersonated Boomer to get to Helo. The Chief's devotion to the Sharons even after Boomer's death was evidenced by his helping Helo protect Athena from the rapists aboard Pegasus. | ||||
