Leoben and KaraThis is a featured page

Easily the creepiest relationship in the Galactica universe, which, again, is kind of saying something!

Leoben, Cylon Number Two, has been obsessed with Kara since before they ever laid eyes on each other, because of his passion for prophecies and destiny. He's the one who first told us that Kara had a Destiny™, and he's always been pretty determined to be a part of it. (Of course, derailing her so often and keeping her from her chosen or natural path might interfere with her destiny, but that didn't seem to occur to Leoben....)

When they first met, Kara tortured him for information, then clearly felt sorry for him when the President reneged on her promise to spare his life. Her sympathy would run out fast, though, when he abducted her from her tent on New Caprica and forced her to live with him in a "home" environment, in a twisted version of a committed relationship. She achieved multiple Pyrrhic victories by killing him over and over in that home.

His ultimate mind-frak came when he introduced her to "Kacey," the little girl he claimed had been bio-engineered from his own DNA as well as Kara's stolen ovary. Kara grew deeply emotionally attached to her supposed daughter, allowing Leoben to take advantage of the implied connection between the three of them. When he forced Kara to express her love for him in the end, she was no longer sure whether at least part of her might mean it. She killed him again a moment later, but he has haunted her dreams ever since.

What would Kara do if she, by some chance, came into contact with Leoben again...?
