| TheirThe story...romance between Starbuck and Zak occurred before the events of the Battlestar Galactica mini-series. Starbuck once served as flight trainer to Zak, the youngest son of Bill Adama. During Zak's training, the two became romantically involved. Zak wanted nothing more than to succeed as a Vipor pilot and impress his father. Unfortunately, Zak did not pass basic flight training, but Starbuck passed him anyway. The two would become engaged, although Zak died before they could be married. Starbuck felt responsible, as it was probably Zak's lack of skill that caused his death. | ||||
