| Starbuck and Apollo first became friends through Zak Adama, Apollo's brother and Starbuck's fiance. After Zak's death they parted ways, until the attack on the colonies brought them back together aboard Galactica. The two rekindled a close friendship that flirted on and off with romance, until one night on New Caprica when (despite being in relationships with other people) they got drunk, frakked, and shouted their love for each other to the night sky. Kara married Anders anyway, prompting Lee to quickly marry Dee. Nevertheless, it was perfectly clear (at least to their spouses) that Starbuck and Apollo still had strong feelings for each other. Despite their rocky history, not to mention the mysteries surrounding Kara's resurrection, Apollo and Starbuck continue to share a strong bond and mutual trust. | ||||
