Their relationship started out strictly professional, but even when Chief Tyrol had eyes only for Boomer, Cally obviously nursed a wistful crush on him. When Boomer's true nature was revealed, Cally murdered her, apparently out of devotion to the Chief.

Later, when Chief was tormented by suicidal nightmares, Cally awakened him and was beaten senseless for her actions. Chief came to and realized what he was doing, and his guilt and horror drove him to seek the counsel of "Brother Cavil," who helpfully pointed out that no one loved Chief more than Cally.

Naturally, Chief and Cally were married, and they moved down to New Caprica to have their son, Nicky.

While no one loved Chief more than Cally, no one hates all Cylons more than Cally either. Sadly, inevitably, their relationship fell apart after Chief discovered his true nature, and Cally tried to kill their entire family when she learned the truth about him. She failed, but Tory Foster made sure at least her suicidal impulses were carried out!
