Season 4 Battlestar Galactica Sneak Peaks
Battlestar Galactica season four premieres this Friday on Sci Fi.
Last season's finale left the characters in an unbending, inevitable course. It doesn't take long for the story to jump up the rails and go somewhere no one would have expected.
And now, the final season opens up with the first season 4 episode entitled: "
He That Believeth In Me." This season has two ongoing conflicts that has to be resolved: The identity of the 12th and final cylon model and the location of the Earth. This season finale has been subtitled "The Final Revelation" and sets the direction of each episode towards the unveiling of these yet to be resolved issues.
A quick flashback from Season 3 finale, "
Crossroads: Part 2", The Galactica was caught in a huge battle with more Cylon ships than they had expected. Samuel Anders got into an interesting confrontation with a Cylon Raider before the battle came to an end. Season 4 Episode 1 picks up minutes after this battle and splits into two parts.
There are 3 main leads going through the episode: The crew reeling from Starbuck's sudden return, Baltar reeling from being released from prison, and the four new Cylons reeling from learning that they're Cylons.
Starbuck Is Alive

Starbuck returns, looking back on the last series, it was almost impossible. Her return's not quite setting well with the rest of the crew and there's a lot of discussion as to the condition of Starbuck's viper. Her ship doesn't have a scratch on it. It looks brand new and her navigation computer has been wiped thus no proof of where she's been.
Though Starbucks' return may be bittersweet, Lee who's basically singing ("Kara's back everybody! Kara's back!") and Kara's husband Anders believe that her coming back is a miracle, while for President Roslin and other crews, Starbucks return is met with cynicism.
Kara on the other hand thinks she was only gone for about 6 hours but to everyone else, she has been gone for months. Kara is undeniably pissed off about being treated with suspicion. Since she has been to Earth, Starbuck's certain that she can get the crew back there again but she comes in conflict with Roslin, who still wants to pursue the originally planned course.
Gaius Baltar
Gaius Baltar finds that everyone aboard the Galactica is treating him differently. When he was acquited of treason that resulted him being detested by most of the survivors (opening credits show the population at 39,698), he was released from prison and was taken into a small crowd of suitable young women that have take to worship and revere him as someone who has direct contact with God. He ends up sleeping with one of the females in the group.

The Four Cylons
Meanwhile Anders, Tyrol, Tigh and Tory are having a difficult couple of hours. The ship is under attack, and Saul Tigh finds himself trying to insist that he can still assume his duties after the fact being known that he's one of the enemy. Anders on the other hand is a little more certain that he's going to be killing someone and is on a brink of mental collapse through the entire episode. As for Tyrol and Tory, they are just afraid that someone might be going to kill them.
