Plot Summary

This 10-part Web-only series fills in the gap between the end of Season Two and the beginning of Season Three. The episodes were originally shown on the official Sci Fi Channel website. They are included in the DVD box set for Season Three, though oddly, they appear on disk two of the set, despite their chronological placement before the first episode of the season.

The "webisodes" focus on Tigh and Tyrol's attempts to organize the resistance on New Caprica against Cylon rule. Jammer and Duck's roles in the resistance are fleshed out primarily in the webisodes, allowing the story to jump right in at the beginning of Season Three.

Episode Recap

Part 1: Sept. 5, 2006

67th Day of Occupation

In Galen and Cally Tyrol's tent, old friends from the Galactica have gathered--Saul Tigh, Jammer, Duck, and his wife Nora. Cally is holding her newborn son. After the party breaks up, Jammer discusses the murder of one of their friends, Charlie Longo, at the hands of the Cylons. Charlie had been caught with weapons in his tent.

Duck sees a recruitment poster for the New Caprica Police. Jammer says human patrols might be preferable to having Centurions watching the tents. Duck disagrees and says that any human who works for the toasters is a traitor.

Duck and Nora seem happy, planning for the future, trying to get pregnant. They couldn't be less interested in risking their lives by fighting the Cylons.

Tigh wants to store weapons in Tyrol's tent. Galen protests that he is married, with an infant son. Tigh says it will only be temporary until they can find a better hiding place.

Jammer returns to Tyrol's tent. Tigh asks him whether Duck is receptive to joining the Resistance. He reminds Jammer that Duck was a former Viper pilot with 40 kills. Tigh is worried that the Resistance won't have sufficient personnel to mount an effective campaign against the Cylon occupiers.

Part 2: Sept. 7, 2006

Tyrol and Jammer are unsuccessful in recruiting Duck into the Resistance. Tigh proposes a controversial hiding place for the weapons cache: the Temple. Tyrol and Jammer object to using a place of worship as a storage site for weapons. Jammer argues that the Cylons respect that a temple is a sacred place, seeming maybe to feel that using that knowledge in this manner would be unfair in light of that respect.

Part 3: Sept. 12, 2006

Tigh and Tyrol follow through on their plan to hide the weapons in the temple. Nora is not convinced that Duck is truly religious.

Part 4: Sept. 14, 2006

Cally and Nora worship at the temple. Nora says that Cally is lucky that Galen is a true believer. She doesn't think Duck truly believes in the gods. Cally admits that Galen is having a crisis of faith, particularly since he learned that Brother Cavil was a Cylon. Suddenly, gunfire erupts outside, signalling a Cylon raid of the Temple. Cally runs into the back room of the tent carrying her son. Nora rushes to join her but goes back for her bag, having found a precious and rare commodity that day: fresh vegetables. Cally is lying on the ground uninjured, protecting her baby. Nora is not so fortunate. The Cylons have killed her.

Part 5: Sept. 19, 2006

Duck is overcome with grief after Nora's death. Cally, Galen, and Jammer comfort him. Duck says he should have been with Nora when she died. Jammer says that there was nothing Duck could have done, and that it was the will of the gods. Duck screams out against the gods, "Frak the gods! The gods killed her!"

After looking at Nora's picture, Duck asks Galen whether there were guns in the temple. Galen says it doesn't matter. The Cylons thought the guns were there. Duck says that's not an answer. Galen admits that the guns were there. Duck asks everyone to leave. When Jammer tries to explain, Duck shouts at them to leave. He takes another look at the picture of Nora and himself.

Part 6: Sept. 21, 2006

While working outside, Jammer says that the Cylon attack on the temple resulted in 10 dead and 12 wounded. Tigh says they're lucky. Barolay notes that 1000 people protested outside Colonial One that day. Tigh is glad that the recruitment problem is solved. Barolay adds that 150 people joined the Resistance in the last three days.

Jammer is angry that Tigh doesn't seem to care about the 10 innocent people who died at the temple.

Tigh: You got that ass backward, sonny. We didn't shoot those people. The chrome jobs did.

Jammer: Yes (but) we hid weapons there--

Tigh: Hey! We're not playing pattycake here! These bastards burned up 20 billion of us. You gonna say that's our fault too? Instead of bawling like a little girl, you should focus on getting some payback.

Jammer: Is that all this is about to you? Blood for blood?

Tigh: We're at war. War is messy. People get killed. Good people. Nice people. Get that through your head or get out. We don't need any crybabies in this outfit.

Part 7: Sept. 26, 2006

Tigh and Tyrol talk about Jammer's arrest by the Cylons. Tigh is concerned that Jammer will tell the Cylons about the Resistance. Tyrol says that while Jammer may be a pain in the ass, he's no traitor.

At the New Caprica Detention Center, Jammer paces in a holding cell. A copy of the Aaron Doral model walks into the room and apologizes for keeping him waiting. Doral asks whether he should call him James or Jammer.

He opens a bottle of cloudy red liquid and places it on the table in front of Jammer. Jammer asks why he was arrested. Doral says Jammer is not under arrest. He had Jammer brought to the detention center because he wanted to talk about what happened at the temple.

Part 8: Sept. 28, 2006

In the holding cell, Doral claims to have sympathy for the victims of the temple massacre, but he says that the Resistance forced the Cylons to act. Doral appeals to Jammer's concern for those victims and his feelings about the "sacrilege" of hiding weapons in a place of worship.

As Jammer considers Doral's words, he begins to drink the red juice, perhaps a symbol of his growing acceptance of the Cylon reasoning. Doral asks whether Jammer wants to live a real life, with a wife and kids in a stable environment. Jammer replies, who wouldn't? Doral says it's possible. The juice that Jammer is drinking came from a farm where humans and Cylons are working side by side in peaceful cooperation.

Doral leaves an ID chip with Jammer. If Jammer hears about anything that could precipitate another centurion attack, he should return to the detention center and ask for Doral. Doral exits the room and leaves the door open. The red juice is visible in the shot, along with the open door. The drums pound in the background as Jammer thinks about the proposal.

Part 9: Oct. 2, 2006

Jammer exits the New Caprica Detention Center. Tyrol is waiting for him outside the gates. Jammer looks surprised to see him there. Tyrol asks what it's like inside. Jammer says nervously that some "skin job" asked him about the temple massacre, about how many weapons were there and who was involved. Tyrol asks what Jammer's response was. "I told him to go frak himself!" Jammer fails to mention the ID chip that Doral gave him.

Tyrol takes a long look at Jammer as if to determine if he is telling the truth. Then he slaps Jammer on the shoulder and says he would have liked to have seen the look on the Cylon's face.

As Jammer says he was "one pissed off toaster," he and Tyrol walk past a recruitment poster for the human-staffed New Caprica Police.

Duck returns to his tent where the broken objects are still on the floor. He hangs the mirror up again. He puts the picture of him and Nora back on the table. As he picks up a small statue of the Lords of Kobol, he begins sobbing.

Part 10: Oct. 5, 2006

Sister Tivenan presides over the dedication of Nicholas Stephen Tyrol, the infant son of Galen Tyrol and Cally Henderson Tyrol.

After the ceremony in the temple, Duck approaches Tyrol. He shows him a New Caprica Police patch. Tyrol is surprised that Duck is joining the NCP after the Cylons killed Nora. Duck replies that he wants to find out who tipped the Cylons off about the weapons in the temple and thus contributed to Nora's death. Tyrol says it will be dangerous. Duck nods. Tyrol says, "Welcome back to the fight."

In the back area of the tent, Tigh, Tyrol, Barolay and Jammer are planning an action against the Cylons. Tigh says that with the additional personnel in the Resistance, it's time for a major operation against the "skin jobs." Barolay says that Anders found a source of ammonium nitrate. Tigh wants to find a place to turn it into explosives. Barolay mentions the area under the grain storage tent.

Jammer expresses his concern that the grain storage tent is directly across from the hospital. He says that if something goes wrong with the explosives, then the patients will be endangered. Tigh says that the patients will have to take their chances. Jammer pauses and agrees. He excuses himself and says he has to check the perimeter. Tigh shakes his head as Jammer leaves.

Duck is holding his New Caprica Security Police patch when Jammer exits from the tent. He puts the patch away before Jammer can see it. Jammer sits down next to Duck and takes out a cigarette. Duck offers his lit cigarette to light Jammer's. Jammer notes that he thought Duck had quit smoking. "What frakkin' difference does it make now?" Duck surveys the surroundings and gets up. "Take it easy, bro," he says to Jammer as he walks off. "Yeah. Easy."

After looking around, Jammer takes the Cylon ID device from his shirt pocket. He walks off underneath the scaffolding, presumably to report what he has learned....
