Plot Summary

The relief engendered by Galactica's reunion with the fleet is short-lived when a virus begins draining the power supply and a pack of Cylons invade the ship. Tigh has a hunch as to the Cylons' intentions, but needs Apollo's help to thwart their scheme. Back on Caprica, Starbuck and Helo visit her old apartment; while on Kobol, Tyrol races back to camp with medical supplies.

Episode Recap

Billy and Dee meet in the hallway. It has been two weeks since they’ve seen each other. Billy apologizes for not making a better effort with their relationship. Dee is upset with him for his part in the rebellion on the ship and wonders if he was waiting for her to need a shoulder to cry on. She leaves him standing there. In the infirmary Adama lies on a hospital bed with Tigh standing over him. The power fluctuates, and then goes out. In the hanger bay, the Viper squadrons return from mission congratulation themselves on a mission well done. At CIC Gaeta tell Tigh that main power and auxiliary units. Emergency power kicks in. On the hanger bay, Apollo tells the pilots that he doesn’t know why they’re happy because they screwed up by letting one

Suddenly the crew realizes that they’ve been boarded by cylons. A group of pilots, Apollo, Kat, Hot Dog and another, walk the halls, unaware of the situation. A cylon appears in from of them, killing a pilot. The remaining pilots run for their lives. Apollo turns and fires at the Cylon. Other fire erupts from the Marines and the Cylon is stopped. Apollo learns that they’ve been boarded and explosive rounds are the only things that can stop the Cylons. Apollo sends Hot Dog to CIC with a message for Tigh or the Officer in Charge then, with the Marines starts after the Cylons. Gaeta tells the fleet that they have been boarded and warns them off, then the Cylons jam their signal. In the Brig, gunshots are heard. The President wants out. She convinces the guard to let them out. Apollo shows up and apprises them of the situation. He sends the president to sickbay, giving Billy a weapon. The President declines a weapon. Apollo and his team head for the weapons locker for explosive rounds. On Caprica. Helo and Starbuck walk through the deserted city. Starbuck comments on the lack of bodies. Helo says that they saw a few, here and there. Starbuck teases Helo about “Cylon Sharon”. Helo explains how he was alone, running from the Cylons and how real his Sharon seemed. Starbuck heads toward a place she knows to pick something up Back on Galactica Gaeta informs Tigh of the repair progress. The realize the Cylons are moving fore and aft toward Secondary Damage Control and Auxiliary Fire Control. If the Cylons succeed in getting to those systems, they can override their decompression safety and vent them into space, then turn Galactica on the fleet. On

Kobol

Baltar is hallucinating. He sees Adama and shows him his child. Adama takes the child and drowns it. Baltar wakes up with his head in Six’s lap. Six explains why the gods and humans no longer can life in harmony, because human’s true nature prevents it. Baltar wonders if the scriptures were a lie, if it was a cover-up for human’s savagery. Six tells Baltar that it has happened before and will happen again and mankind’s true will always assert itself. It is up to Baltar to prevent humans from killing their child.

Trivia

On Galactica-Apollo and his team search the hallways on their way to the weapons locker and start finding bodies. They open the door to the locker and find only Jammer alive. Inside the locker, only 6 explosive rounds are there. Apollo gives the five team members, including Jammer, one round and he takes two and they leave. On Caprica-Helo and Starbuck find Starbucks room. The walls have been covered with painting and drawing, directly on the walls themselves. Inside Helo asks Starbuck about painting there and Starbuck acknowledge that she painted them. She puts on a recording of her father’s music and calms down. When Helo asks how she powered the music player she tells him that it runs on batteries because she rarely paid her electric bill. She finds her box of cigars on the table and a lighter between the cushions of her couch.

Starbuck explains everything that she didn’t like about her apartment. Then what she won’t miss about Caprica. Then ponders how everyone is fighting to get back what they had and how she’s only fighting because she doesn’t know anything else. She and Helo sit back, relax and listen to the music Galactica-The president and her entourage come across more bodies. Dualla is the only one alive but she’s in shock. Dee was on her way to the bathroom when the Cylons attacked. Billy gets Dee to snap out of it and she truly sees him for the first time. The president calmly gets Corporal Venner to focus on their situation. He tells them that to get away from the gunfire, they have to go starboard. CIC-The threat to Auxiliary Fire control is contained, but Tigh realized that the Cylons are still heading for the Aft Damage control. Gaeta and Tigh discuss they progress the cylons have made and realize that there is nothing between the last two cylons and the decompression safety. Tigh advise anyone who knows any prayers to start now. Kobol-The Chief and Cally rest after their previous mission. Cally tells the Chief that it wasn’t his fault that Tarn got shot. When the Chief doesn’t respond, Cally gets angry.
• The Chief finally laughs when Cally callspiano himpiece a motherfraker. They comment at what an idiot Crashdown is. They finish resting and find their group. Crashdown berate Baltar for being goneplaying alone in the woods. Baltar tells Crashdown that he’s getting a bad feeling about where they are. Cally and the Chief getthis back;episode giving the medic the kit they retrieved. When Crashdown asks about Tarn, the Chief throws him Tarn’s dog tags. The medic tells them that the med kit they got isn’t going to help Socinus. All they can do is give him enough rugs to die in peace, rather than die in agony. The chief insists on being the one to do it in the end. Galactica-Deck 12-Apollo and his crew are at another arms locker. Tigh send Apollo and his team to aft damage control. In another part of the ship, the president and her contingent are looking for sickbay. Dualla advises Billy to turn the safety on if he’s going to put a weapon in his pants. Both teams end up heading for Aft Damage Control, Apollo’s team to find Cylons and The Presidents team to escape the cylons In Aft Damage Control, Apollo and his team prepare to defend themselves. The Presidents team hears the Cylons coming. Apollo prepares his team for what’s coming, reminding them that they only have one round each. The cylons appear and Billy accidentally shots, getting the Cylons attention. When they open fire on the Presidents group, Apollo’s team opens"Metamorphosis fireOne" behind them. They manage to kill all the cylons. Apollo killing the last one as it leaps at him. On Caprica. Starbuck and Helo take off in a military vehicle they find. Galactica-Billy visits Dualla in the sickbay. They kiss and make up. Apollo visits his father and the President voluntarily return to the brig.
